Coconoil is our chosen Coconut Oil!

We are really happy to share we are now distributing Coconoil, and will be including a regular blog detailing canine friendly recipes and the health benefits of supplementing your dog's diet with this high quality product!   

I first met Coconoil CEO Garry Stiven at the 220 Triathlon Show in February 2015, and was instantly impressed with not just the story of how Garry started the Coconoil brand, but the delicious taste and health properties of the product!  At the time, I had been searching for a supplement for my dogs' diet and had been interested in coconut oil's proposed anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.  

Coconoil is human grade, with both Organic certified and Virgin products in their line, and predominantly sold for human consumption,  I had read that coconut oil, when produced correctly, was excellent for maintaining dogs' teeth.  This was just the beginning!  

Since February we have fed all our adult dogs a tablespoon of Coconoil a day, and have recently raised the first Coconoil litter supplementing all 12 of Verde's puppies with Coconoil. Initially through Verde's milk, then weaning them with no more than a 1/4 tsp of it included in their raw diet.  Amongst other great things, our dogs's teeth are all gleaming white (even 12 year old Colby's), their coats glisten in the sunlight and feel wonderful to the touch, and they have minimal smell to them - we attribute much of this to their excellent diet. 

In fact, we've been so impressed, we even take a spoonful a day ourselves - more on that in another blog!
